I'm back... BJ found another cord that works for the camera... Ava and I went to see my cousin Laurel perform with her show choir. She loved it. For a part of their show they wear what looks like their prom dresses - it was very quiet (they were going to sing their ballad) and Ava said loudly, "Look at all the princesses!" Then she realized that they forgot their crowns! It was very cute. She wore her tutu to the show and would get down out of her chair and dance around, watching her skirt flair out. It was hilarious. She stopped dancing right when one of the songs was over and everyone started clapping. She asked me, "Are they clapping for me?"

She is obsessed with princesses right now. We had a family movie night - Cinderella, Ava loved that as well.

True-baby had his 9 month checkup today... I can't believe his next checkup will be his 1 year checkup! Where has the time gone? (On a happier note, the school year will almost be over, yay for summer time!!)

It was free day at the Children's Museum. It was quite crowded, but I think Ava really enjoyed it. You can see what True thought about it. He was a fabulous baby, no whining, he was very content to stay in his stroller. It was great!

Ava found the biggest dollhouse of all!

On another note, Ava is very into pretending that she is the mom and I am Ava. Tonight we did this and she read me a story. I love listening to her "read" stories. It is amazing to me how many phrases and sentences she has memorized and can spit out. I love hearing her read to me!

True found the stairs! He does a pretty good job climbing up!

Ava is not fond of sharing her toys with True-baby... poor True... This poor girl woke up with a terrible cold. She has been sneezing non-stop with a runny nose. I think True shared his cold with her!

What a beautiful day! We played outside and True got to crawl around. He wasn't to sure about the ground.

Ava got to play on her swingset. She was very excited to play and ride her bike.. she threw a fit when it was time to come in!

One cute little True baby - this boy has gotten sick all of a sudden - he is drippy nose and congested.. Twice today he has hacked up everything he just ate.. ugh.. does not make for a pleasant day! Ava and I did manage to make some Valentine Day cookies, yum!

Another year older... hmm.. I think it does go by faster the older you get! Mom made my favorite cake for my birthday and Ben-j brought home ice cream cake... I think I'll be putting on the pounds!

Haircuts all around! True got his first trim, he was tired of hearing his Uncle Brad telling him he had a combover.

Ava also got her first real haircut. It ended up being a little shorter than I had intended, but it will grow back, right?! Her hair was all different lengths and a bit scraggly, so now hopefully, it will grow in a little more even.

I realized I didn't really take an after picture of them. Maybe that will be my picture for tomorrow?

I think this may be Ava's new favorite book... We only read it six times tonight (3 times within a 15 minute span!). She wanted to get fancy after we read it; she put on a tutu and a dress at the same time...

Just a picture to show how True is starting to crawl up on all fours now! I can't believe crawling is already here. He even lets go of things and stands by himself for a few seconds.

So, I really was tired yesterday. I had taken this picture before school to show how intent True is on drumming, but I completely forgot about it! He really does like to drum, it is pretty cute.

I ordered a new swimsuit for vacation this summer, and it came today. I was pretty excited about it.. I got two cute summer dresses, a tank top, and swimsuit bottoms and two tops for it for $50! I thought that was a great deal.. goodbye to the rest of my Christmas money! I think I need to start my summer vacation countdown...

Since I had to try on my new dresses to see if they fit, Ava also wanted to play dress-up. She had to put on her dress, which turned her into a fairy princess - she is carrying around her fairy "lond" (instead of wand).

Ava also wrote her name all by herself - I was impressed. Do all parents think they have a little genius? 'Cause I sure do! She did this while helping me grade papers... I saved it for her baby book.

We hung out with some friends for the Super Bowl... We tried to get a picture like last time to see how they have grown (and added one)... Ava was loving her True baby... Is it me, or do they not look anything alike??

Yes.. there is more snow! Ava and I looked outside to see the snow coming down just like a snowglobe. We bundled up and headed out to play. Here is Ava getting ready to throw snow on me!

February 4 - A New Year!

Last night, the kids and I went to see Renee' and Teagan, who are here visiting. I forgot to take my camera - grr. But, Renee' and Teagan gave these cute Valentines to Ava and True. Aren't they cute?! She is so crafty...

February 3, Day 365

Going on day 3 of no school.. Mom came over and we made blueberry pies.. Yum!

We also made a tent.. Ava dragged Grandma and True in to read stories and get cozy..

February 2, Day 364

Going on day 3 of no school and this is what starts to happen! Ha! Poor True.. I was holding Ava's clip and True at the same time and wondered what it would look like in his hair. So I tried it.. Ava then wanted to put a skirt on him.. she called him Princess True.. ha! He is pretty cute.. Ava had on another tutu, she liked playing princesses with him!

February 1, Day 363

We had an ice storm here, keeping us indoors and out of school! Ava and I went out for a little walk around the backyard to crunch the snow! Things were quite ice covered. This is a picture of Ava when she was looking at our ice covered tree. She said, "It's going to fall on us, run!" She then took off towards the tree.. funny...

Ava stayed in her jammies all day. She cracks me up that she loves staying in her jammies all day.
