July 30, Day 178

We had a busy day! It started off with Ava's last gymnastics class. Here she is doing the bear walk! She really enjoyed it - I think we'll have to do it again next summer!

Next, we drove to Covington to eat at the Beef House with some Springfield friends! It was great to see them and catch up! (I don't think I could have taken a worse picture! Oh well..)

Finally, we ended up at Brad and Pamela's for some s'mores! Yum! Here is Adi at her finest! Clothes only slow her down...

July 29, Day 177

I got some math games laminated tonight (thanks Sarah!). Now I just have to cut them out and figure out what goes with what!

We enjoyed hanging out at the park for a while tonight, it really was a pretty evening! I need some practice on my action shots - she doesn't slow down at all! She also needed a clip to tame that crazy hair!

Ava got to go to bubble lab at the library today. She enjoyed splashing in the soapy water and chasing after the bubbles more than blowing them! She was a soapy mess!

This girl is crazy! She was pretending to be a tiger and was crawling all over.. she is so funny! Her personality is really showing (not always for the better, either.. she can be quite the stubborn stinker!)

Brad, Eden, and Adi came over for dinner tonight.. the best part? When Eden said prayer, he asked God for their TV not to be canceled anymore.. so funny..

July 19, Day 167

I practiced with my camera some this afternoon.. The chocolate residue around Ava's mouth is from her treat for going on the potty after nap! That is twice today! I'm wondering when (or if) she will ever tell me she needs to go or if I will always be sitting her on the potty and crossing my fingers! Also I ate the rest of the potty treats.. yikes! I better get some before tomorrow morning!

Another one of Miss Ava on the phone with Pawpaw.. not really, but she was carrying on a conversation with him like he was!

July 17, Day 165

Today was my friend, Danielle, got married. Mandy and Denise (two on the left) are pregnant, and Emily and I both just had babies in the last two months! Danielle will have to catch up!!

We had the VBS carnival tonight.. Ava got to go in the bouncy house, down the big slide, and ate two hotdogs! She had a lot of fun, but she was sooo tired.. We need a week to catch up on sleep!

Today we got out a water mat that Ava had gotten at Christmas. It has lots of holes that spray out water. She thought it was pretty cool and used it has her own personal drinking fountain. We also had the orange baby pool filled up.. I was going to take advantage of that during naptime, until Ava had a poopy pants in her swim diaper.. the water was dumped!

July 13, Day 161

Took this picture from Nicole's facebook and it is tiny for some reason! We had our own secret snack room at VBS last night (code word Buttercup).. I ate waaaay to much!

Last night, BJ was the lucky winner of a cowboy shower.. I enjoyed pouring baked beans on him!

Tonight was the first night of VBS.. Last year, BJ got slimed almost every night. Dan got it tonight, maybe BJ will make it the whole week??

July 10, Day 158

Tonight I attempted to trim Ava's hair.. never again! She is such a wiggle worm, that I had a horrible time trying to make sure it was somewhat even.. I won't be doing it again! This is the before shot...

After! A good thing about her hair is that since it is curly, you can't really tell if it is even or not!

We had visitors today! Emily and Audrey spent most of the day with us.. the girls got to swim in the pool (after we got the frog out!) - it was VERY hot today.. They are still learning to get along.. This picture of Audrey made me laugh..

We played outside this morning before it got too hot.. We blew lots and lots of bubbles!

In other big news.. Ava went on the potty for the first time! Yay!! Now if only she would do that everytime!!

July 2, Day 150

This week has been beautiful! Ava enjoyed playing outside today... I think every possible surface has chalk on it right now..

Truett, however, did not enjoy his outside time as much.. He has turned into a spit monster.. He bombed me several times today and went through numerous burp cloths.. ugh.. I feel my sanity slipping away.. I can't wait until BJ gets home tomorrow!!!!

July 1, Day 149

Mom, Ava, Truett, and I went to a new park today. We walked - a little longer than we planned - but it was good exercise... Ava got to play on a new playground - she really liked it. This was a little bridge type thing she had to concentrate very hard on to get across.
