June 30, Day 148

Why am I posting almost the same picture as yesterday? Reason #1: it is 9:51 p.m. and I took exactly one picture on my camera today.. Reason #2: he is trying to suck his thumb and it was making me laugh as he tried to jam his little hand into his mouth making loud smacking sounds.. I met with my new team teachers today, worked out, and had book club.. not a whole lot of time for picture taking.. hopefully tomorrow I will do better.. where is this summer going??? It will be gone before I know it!

My True-baby did not sleep good last night.. which means I did not sleep good! Here's hoping for a better night!

June 28, Day 146

I told Ava to put her flip-flops on so we could go to the park. She was very proud of herself for putting them on by herself...

June 27, Day 145

I started playing around with my camera today. Emily gave me some tips and so I started playing - I have a lot of work to do to get good pictures like she does.. I also found buttons and things on my camera that I didn't know I had and I don't know what they do! Hopefully I don't mess things up too much! I don't remember what setting this was on (it might have even been the automatic setting!) but I thought it was cute of Ava-bean.

June 25, Day 143

We had some visitors tonight! It is always fun to catch up with friends. Ava was actually pretty nice about sharing her toys tonight, to bad Miss Audrey wasn't feeling to good. We're glad that they will be back to visit in a week so that Ava and Audrey can play some more! Hopefully, Cael will join our play date!! Hint, hint!

June 24, Day 142

Ava got to play with Teagan this morning! It was fun to hang out for a while, even though my child was in need of a serious nap! She did get a good nap this afternoon and I thought that helped, until tonight when I was putting her to bed.. she was in bed, didn't cry, and I was feeding Truett out in the living room and all of a sudden I heard her screaming.. there was a fly in her window and it completely freaked her out.. grr.. I killed the fly.. but she was pretty hysterical and it took a while to calm her down and I didn't have a whole lot of patience.. I think we both need a good night's sleep and for BJ to come home soon!!

June 23, Day 141

You should know what it means if you see a library book posted.. I failed to take a picture today until 9:45 tonight.. Had several opportunities and just didn't take my camera. All I keep thinking about is that is 10:00 and I am getting up tomorrow at 5:15 to go workout tomorrow morning. I wonder how many times Truett will wake up tonight! I'm ready for BJ to be home and share parenting responsibilities!

June 22, Day 140

Ava got to spend the day with BJ at camp today.. Needless to say, she did not get a nap. She was soooo tired. She fell asleep on the way home mid-Cheerio..

I took one picture today... and that was to post on this blog.. so it is not a great picture.. but it was either that or no picture at all!! The flash was blinding him, so I took one and that was it.. I'll try to do better tomorrow!

June 18, Day 136

Truett is one month old today!! I can't belive it! Time has gone by fast.. He's blowing some raspberries while his sister enjoys a different kind of raspberry...

Since my mom is out of town, I've picked some black raspberries for her (or black blueberries, as Ava calls them) Here is Ava enjoying a snack! She had a purple face and fingers!

June 17, Day 135

I think Pamela might have a second career in cake decorating! :)

June 16, Day 134

Truett was fussing a little so Ava climbed up on the bed and read him a story. It was so sweet! I took Truett for his 1 month check-up and found out he is up to 10 lb 4 oz. What a CHUBBY boy! I looked in Ava's baby book and she was 4 months before she weighed that much! He is going to outweigh her before he is a year old at this rate!

June 14, Day 132

We had another round of thunderstorms tonight, but we got a rainbow out of it!

I called my doctor today and they called in a prescription for me, but when we went to pick it up, they didn't have it ready! They hadn't checked their voicemail in a while.. GRR.. so now I have to wait until tomorrow morning to get my medicine.. but I feel better today.. still some pain, but nothing like yesterday.. so hopefully things will start getting better! Also, our TV turned back to color! It is a miracle.. Although that was probably a warning sign that things are dying inside... guess I should start a new TV envelope...

June 13, Day 131

FAIL.. no picture today.. I have been up since 2 this morning, feeling miserable.. I'm having nursing issues (won't go into more detail than that) and it is very uncomfortable.. plus I've had the chills and then I'll be burning up, headaches, etc.. I took my temperature and at one point it was up to 102.6.. so sorry, but I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow.. if I was going to take a picture, it would be of our TV that went from being a color tv to a black and white today.. lovely.. Can anything else go wrong??

Shout out to Pamela who came over to my house and made Ava lunch and helped with Truett.. Thank you!!

June 12, Day 130

Two pictures today... since my mom and dad, aunt and uncle are in Alaska, I think they need picture updates of both kiddos.. especially at the rate Truett is growing, he'll be doubled in sized by the time they get back!

Here is my sweet True-baby having some tummy time... Ava did not like tummy time, but Truett seems to like it..

I had a fun day today, went to Circle Centre with Joyce.. got Ava the cutest dress for our family pictures (tried to get Truett something, but nobody had things that were cute and in his size.. so I matched Ava to something he already had that fit - Mom, I put those little overalls we got on him and they are too big - the pant legs went down to his toes!).. Then Brad, Pamela, Eden, and Adi came over. Brad gave both Adi and Ava a bath (Pam took the kids downtown to the PBS kids festival and Ad was a hot mess) so he could pick where we eat. We went to Cracker Barrel and Ritter's - ugh.. I am so full! When we were in Ritter's the sky got very dark.. when we got home, the tornado sirens were going off! It's times like this that I miss our basement!

P.S. Brad, I like DQ blizzards better than Ritter glaciers.. more M&M's in the blizzards!

June 11, Day 129

Ava went to her first gymnastics class today. I think she had fun - she got to do a little obstacle course - trampolines, balance beam, a tunnel to crawl through, a slide to go down.. I think the more she goes, the more she will like it.. she was a bit reluctant today and just watched most of the time.. This was the best picture I got, I'll have to try again before her classes are over!

June 10, Day 128

Ava got an "owie" on her leg this evening.. as she walked to bed, she was "holding" her leg.. she makes me laugh!

June 9, Day 127

I got a month-long membership to the Plainfield Rec. Center to take some exercise classes.. the class today kicked my butt.. I'm going back for more tomorrow morning at 6:05 AM, that is right in the AM.. we'll see if I make it!!

June 8, Day 126

Oh Ava.. we had some friends over tonight and Ava was in our room. I thought she was being cute and just reading books in our bed.. Until she came out later. Yeah, she found my pen and wrote all over herself.. Her legs, toes, the bottom of her feet, her hands.. oh my.. And what's that on her shorts? She got the whisk out of the sink that BJ stirred pancake batter with and was playing with it.. Oh Ava.. she makes me tired some days!

June 7, Day 125

Ava, Truett, and I went to Joyce's to swim for a little bit. Ava got to play with Landon for a while... too bad the sun didn't want to come out until it was almost time to leave!

June 6, Day 124

My sweet True-baby is growing so fast! He was given some newborn outfits today and I put one on him.. his tummy was hanging out.. He is such a chunk!

True-baby is cashed out for the evening.. Let's hope he stays that way and lets his mommy get some sleep!

BFF's Ava and Adi.. wait.. BFF's?? They played so nicely today.. maybe they are turning over a new leaf.. maybe it helps that they don't see each other almost everyday now.. We'll see how long it sticks before they are arch enemies again!

Ava got to go swimming today at Julie's pool. She was sooo excited to go swimming.. She was not very happy with us when it was time to go home!

June 2, Day 120

I didn't have a picture for today and decided that I would take a picture of our new fridge... Ours was slowly getting warmer and warmer.. so we were forced to buy a new one.. ugh.. I was hoping Ava wouldn't be able to open it.. but she can.. One good thing.. Brad can no longer say our ice maker is broken!

My mom and I went shopping today at the outlet mall.. I didn't realize how much I got until I laid it all out! We got some good deals!
