May 31, Day 124

Tonight we ate at the Shrimp Basket for all you can eat shrimp.  Brad has an unnatural obsession with 'hushdogs.'  He thinks he is very clever because he says hushdogs instead of hushpuppies, and he has been saying it over and over and over...

May 30, Day 123

We made it!!  After about an 11 hour car drive, we made it to Orange Beach, AL.  As soon as we found our condo we got changed into our swimsuits and hit the  beach.  This picture really makes me laugh because it looks like Ava is tinkling, but it is just the water!  Ava loves the water and didn't want to get out!

May 29, Day 122

We packed up the van tonight for vacation, because we are leaving at 2 in the morning!!!  Ava wanted to leave right then.  I'm pretty nervous about the trip down - three kiddos and four adults in one mini-van?

May 28, Day 121

We had visitors tonight to look at our new fence (which you can see in the background).  It is done except for chopping the tops off the posts and finishing up one gate.  I am very excited about this fence - it makes our backyard so much more private!  Anyways, this is my dad with his two blue-eyed gals.  This is about the only shot I have of Adi with all her clothes on - that girl wants to be on Girls Gone Wild!

May 27, Day 120

Today was the last day of school for kids.  I have one more day tomorrow to get report cards ready and that's it!  Now if I only had a job for next year...

May 26, Day 119

Ava had some cottage cheese tonight.  She had it everywhere...  She would pick up chunks and put it on her spoon, I love that!

After some thunderstorms this morning, they were able to start our fence.  I can't wait!!

Tonight we had our family Memorial Day cookout.  Aunt Linda had a cute little camera case that looked just like a purse.  Ava confiscated it and walked around with it for a while.  Here she is with cousin Kyle checking out what is inside.

May 23, Day 116

Ava loves playing with this toy piano of Adi's.  She played with it every time we were over there.  Aunt Pamela cleaned out some of Adi's toys and gave the piano to Ava.  All day today she carried it around, wanted to sit in our laps and play beautiful music for us.  Seriously, she lugged this piano everywhere - 0n the couch, in the laundry room, in her bedroom, in the kitchen

May 22, Day 115

Ava got to play in the faucet at my parents house today.  She loved it and was completely soaked.  I'm thinking it is time to get the baby pool out!

So tonight, our church had an ice cream social.  I decided to take the camera with me and put it on the dryer while I put Max in his box.  Then I heard a thud and a cry.  Yes, Ava pulled the camera down and scared herself.  She also messed up the camera.. makes me sick, thinking about it.  We think it is only the lense, it won't focus and won't always take a picture - this is one it took when I was pushing the button over and over.  BJ took the camera over to my aunt and uncles to borrow one of their lenses and see if it works, so it looks like we will only need to buy a new lense.  I just don't know how much more of this I  can take!

May 19, Day 112

Whenever we read this book, Ava puts her little hands around the picture of the ball.  It's like she's trying to get it off the page and have it in her hands.  Makes me laugh...

May 18, Day 111

I read all of this book yesterday.  It is a pretty short children's book, but I really liked it.  It was kind of a creepy take on Alice in Wonderland.  They turned it into a movie, so now I really want to see that!

May 17, Day 110

And then there were two...  We lost one of these shoes about a month and a half ago.  I had almost given up and thrown the one away.  Then today when I went to get Ava after her nap, she was very excited about something behind her crib.  When I looked, there was the shoe!  It was between the dust ruffle and the bed, which is why I never found when I looked under the bed.  

May 16, Day 109

This little girl is too smart for her own good.  She had figured out that she can stand on this stool and look out the window.  So I had put the stool in her closet so she can't do it (I'm afraid the stool will tip over, it's not very steady).  Today the closet door was open and she picked up her stool and carried it over to the window.  I couldn't believe that she remembered, it has been at least a month since she did it.  After one tantrum where I tried to take the stool away, I distracted her and then ran back and put the stool safely back in the closet.

May 15, Day 108

We hung out with Ava's birthday buddy tonight.  We started playing the game, Killer Bunnies, at 9 and are still playing.  Unfortunately, this game kind of makes you mad at the other players and BJ will soon be sleeping on the couch...

We had small group here tonight.  During this time, Max found Adi's diaper bag and extracted some needed items.. such as a shirt, wipes, and raisins...

We had surveyors come out in preparation for our fence.  I really can't wait for a fence, it'll be really nice to just put the dog out and not worry that he's run off!

So today I went to Heartland Crossing's community garage sales with my sister-in-law.  Usually I am not a huge fan of garage sales because I never find anything and I don't have the patience to go through the junk a lot of people put out.  But today, I hit it big!  Ava got two pairs of shorts for this summer, the jeans she is modeling, and the shirt for $3.00.  The jeans are baby gap - 75 cents!  I was so excited.  She also got a cute pair of Nike sandals for this summer - $3.00 (perfect for our vacation).  She also got four new books for $2.00.  Two of which are Mrs. Wishy-Washy - some of my favorite books I had in my old classroom that had to get left behind.  So in all, I spent $8 and got her a lot of stuff!  

May 8, Day 101

I got a $10 free money in the mail from american eagle.  So tonight we went there and I got the best deal!  These flip-flops said they were on sale for $14.99 - so I would have to pay $5.  When I got up to pay they were marked off another $3.  I ended up paying $2.10 for these!  Woohoo!

Sweet baby Ava is responsible for this.  It was my fault for leaving the camera on the ottoman.  She pulled the camera off and it fell on the floor.  It must have fallen at just the right angle, because this is what happened.  Thank goodness it still works!

May 5, Day 98

This is a picture of Max going to the bathroom.  This is all he has done for the past couple of days.  He has gone outside 4 or 5 times in ONE hour.  This was really starting to get on my nerves.  We took him on a walk, and he marked about every three houses.  Then I went to get in bed last night.  The dog had peed on my bed, on our duvet (which is dry clean only).  You can imagine how I was feeling towards Max.  I finally started wondering if something was wrong, $81 later, we found out Max has either a bladder or prostrate infection.  Lovely.  He started on some pills, which will hopefully fix him up.

I scrapbooked today on "National Scrapbooking Day" with some friends.  This worked out perfectly, because now I can enter this in Emily's scrapbook challenge.  It is a little plain, but I still like it.

May 1, Day 94

So...  I was having a really hard time deciding what to take a picture of tonight.  Then Ava solved my problem.  I had finished giving her a bath and was putting away her toys.  She was wandering around my room.  All the sudden I heard a loud crash and then Ava started crying.  Very scary.  I ran over and found her half-way under the bed and this giant mess  (the nightstand was laying on the floor).  The lightbulb in my lamp had broken and there was glass everywhere.  The drawer of my nightstand was open, spilling everything, along with a glass of water.  Thank goodness that Ava was not under the nightstand or cut by the glass.  Scary night.
