We carved our pumpkin on Friday night. Ava drew a face on it... sadly it looked nothing like the final product!

We've taught True about hot things. He knows candles are hot.. so he made us laugh by trying to blow the candle out (it was a battery operated tea light). It was so cute how he kept going up to it and trying to blow it out. He was a little leery of the pumpkin at first, but got braver as the night when on.

Tonight, Jen turned on the bouncers that are for tomorrow's Trunk or Treat. Ava got to play on them and did she ever have fun!

I got to go on Ava's hayride for preschool this morning. I was so afraid it was going to rain and not be nice, but it really was a good morning. Ava looks thrilled in this picture, doesn't she?

Adi-Mae gave a big cheese.. unfortunately this was about the only big cheese she had for pictures this morning!

After the hayride, I went to her classroom for the last half-hour. It was fun to see how she was in class, I always wonder how she acts. They played the horse game - Ava is riding Vanilla and looking for a letter. It was a pretty cute game... I'm thinking my kindergarteners would probably like it!

It was a beautiful day outside! True and I took advantage of it and played outside while Ava finished up her nap. He loves this car... he has figured out that he can push it around the yard. What a boy!

So I've been MIA lately... it's really easy when you've stopped posting to continue not posting.. right, Amy Miller?

Anyways, True baby has recently learned how to climb, and climbing gives him great pleasure. The other day he put his book on the table and then climbed into Ava's booster seat. He was so proud of himself for being in her seat and being able to read his book. He was grinning from ear to ear.

He was also caught snuggling with Ava's cat. She did not appreciate this, but he gave it some very sweet hugs and cuddles.

We got to chat with BJ on FaceTime..

We hung out with my friend Joyce and she gave us some cookies to take home with us. True was soooo excited about cookies!

It was Ava's fall festival for preschool tonight. She got all dolled up in her bumblebee costume. She was very excited about it. When we were there, she just waved at everyone (and she didn't know a lot of them!) and talked about her costume. "Do you like my costume? It has wings!" and so on...

The antennas are a bit tight and they only stayed on for the pictures. She was glad to take them off and just have her pony... We had fun playing games and winning prizes. True baby got to hang out with Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Todd.. much easier to juggle one than two!

Today is day one! BJ is headed to the Philippines. I started parent/teacher conferences. I got through five and got my report cards started. I have more conferences tomorrow and I'm going to try and get report cards done (or close to done!). I'll be ready for the weekend on Friday and then just a three day week till Fall Break. I think I can... I think I can...

I brought this box home from school. Fund-raiser things came in and so I had this box left over. Ava and True liked playing inside it! Maybe they should nap there tomorrow.. ha

My mom gave True his own set of 'keys' today. He was pretty excited about them. He carried them around, ready to put them in the ignition.. if only they had a car to go with them!

True was so tired this morning, he fell asleep on the floor.. If he takes a morning nap, then he won't take an afternoon nap... I'd rather have the afternoon nap, just have to put up with a whiny True for a while...

Ava got a new toothbrush - a 'gel' (hard g) one.. because she is a 'gel' not a boy...

Ava wanted Audrey to see that she has a dress just like her! She wants to wear it next time Audrey visits!

Sorry I've been so MIA, life is just busy and I haven't had time to take and post pictures...

Today was the big day out at the orchard. We spent the morning riding ponies, getting faces painted (excuse me, cheek painted - Ava corrected me every time I said face), and playing in the corn.
