Happy day for Ava! She got a "packpack" just like Eden.. She was very excited... She said, "Now I can go on coolbus wif Eden, cause I have a packpack." Hmm.. not yet...

It is a pretty stinkin' cute backpack.. She was very excited to see her letters, too. (Why is she an Ava no-pants? That would be because she made a mess in them.. she was taking after her cousin, Adi no-pants, for a while)

Hmm.. why is BJ eating off a princess plate with a small plastic fork?

Because Ava-bean pulled a little switch-a-roo!

Today has been one of those days where I sort of feel like I can't do everything I want/need to do and do it well.. I'm having a hard time balancing being a good mommy and a good teacher and a good wife and all the other things in between.. I have a sad feeling that this whole year will be like that.. sigh.. it is only August.. prayers needed...

This girl always makes me laugh.. today we put on underwear, I gave her a choice of two pairs of underwear. She wanted to wear both, one on top of the other... Then she put a pair on her head... She wouldn't stay still for a better picture, but I had to document this.. She did stay dry until a little after 11, when she wet her pants in the kitchen. She went to the bathroom several times, put her poopy in the potty, and stayed dry during her nap so we're on our way.

True-baby is the big 3 months! He is getting so big.. holding his head up.. grabbing on to toys and blankets, cooing and laughing, and watching things.. Love him lots!

So.. we've had this game in Ava's closet for a while, and I decided to get it out yesterday to play. It needed batteries, which we got tonight.. LETDOWN.. sigh.. it makes it look like the butterflies just all come fluttering out.. they do not..

in other news.. She's back in the saddle again (or should I say on the potty again..) successfully put her poopy in the potty! yay Ava!

Truett's expression is how I'm feeling.. ambushed and bewildered by what is going on around me.. spent my after hours (after baby bedtimes) researching historic Indians and rounding decimals.. my life is exciting!
