June 30, Day 154

Today was soooo beautiful!  The weather was wonderful and we took full advantage of it.  We walked at the park, played on the playground, dropped some things off in my new classroom, and then headed to the zoo!  Unfortunately for us, EVERYONE and their mother was at the zoo.  They weren't letting anyone else in!  So Pamela, Eden, Adi, Aunt Sarah, Ava and I walked along the canal and then went back and were able to get in.  It really didn't seem that crowded either!  We enjoyed our day, here Ava is getting up close and personal with a billy goat.  She had a lot of fun looking at the animals - she really liked it when the seals swam by.  She ended up falling asleep in the stroller for the last half hour or so.  What a great day!

Ava spent some time with Uncle Todd today.  She didn't want to sit still long enough to take a picture together though.

June 28, Day 152

Ava and I went over to swim at Joyce's and hang out with some friends.  Ava found Landen's hat and wanted to wear it.. she's so cute.

BJ made me a book full of pictures for our 6 year anniversary... Now he is leaving me for another week!

We are so happy daddy is home!  (Ava is taking advantage of daddy napping to get some cash and credit cards)

We went to the pool today and Ava got worn out!  She didn't even make the 8 minute car ride home, how sweet.

We went out to camp to visit BJ tonight.  I made the mistake of not checking the diaper bag to see if it contained diapers.  So we ended up borrowing one that was a size 5!  It was pretty big, but we made it work.

June 22, Day 146

I swept the kitchen floor today and then let Ava play with the broom.  I left the dustpan up on the table, not really wanting her to play with it.  When I looked up, she was up in her chair with the dustpan!  Good grief!  That girl can climb!

We went to a cookout tonight with some friends.  Brad made deep-fried candy bars - I had a deep-fried Milky Way (better than the 3 Muskateers), I think I am still in sugar shock.

Super cute sandals!  I succumbed to peer pressure, but I love them!!

June 18, Day 142

We went to the park tonight and decided to get shakes from Steak-n-Shake.  We had a coupon for buy one get one free fruit shakes, which I was really excited about.  Then we got our shakes - they are half the size as normal shakes.  Boo on them!

June 17, Day 141

Ava and I had a busy day today!  We went to story hour at the library, took Max to get his hair cut, went to the park, ate lunch with BJ at the church, and played in the sprinkler at Grandmas.  Busy Day!

June 16, Day 140

Behind this door, Ava was making quite a racket.  She did not want to go to bed and was making some noise.  I think she has finally given it up now...

Ava decided to pour her cheerios into Max's dish and eat them out of it.  I was slightly grossed out.

We tried really hard to get a picture of both babies happy and smiling.  Finally, we got one decent one!  We had a lot of fun hanging out with our Springfield friends this weekend - we miss them a lot!

Tonight on the way home from eating out, Ava and Cael were giving each other high fives and then clapping about it.  It was sooo cute!

We found this statue while walking around.  Amy thought it was the perfect statue for a picking the nose picture.

We had a baby robin in our backyard today.  Max found it briefly, but we saved it before he got to crazy with it.

Ava and I played with bubbles today.  Then she took about a four hour nap!

We finally got Ava's big girl carseats tonight.  I'm not sure she's really 20 pounds yet, but she is really starting to HATE getting into her seat.  I'm interested to see what she thinks tomorrow!

Ava has turned into quite the climber.. then she always wants to be rescued!

Ava has learned some sign language, here she is signing for milk.  She is really good at signing 'more!'

We made it home after another long drive.  To relax tonight, I rented Twilight.  I'm very interested to see what it's like...

June 5, Day 129

It is our last night of vacation, sad night.  However, we did find out something that will make the trip home a little more fun.  We have been eating Junior Mints, or JM's, as we like to call them all week.  We have gone through probably 5 or 6 boxes and have two for the way home.  Tonight we found out that BJ hates calling them JM's.  This is going to be fun!

June 4, Day 128

We ate at Lambert's tonight for dinner.  They throw the rolls at you and this is Brad getting slammed in the face with a roll.  Actually this is a posed picture, but we had fun and got very full!

June 3, Day 127

Tonight we went down to The Wharf, which is kind of like Metropolis - an outdoor mall.  There was a ferris wheel and lots of different places to eat.  We ate at Live Bait, which was pretty good.  The kiddies took turn driving this car, watch out!

This morning all the kiddies were playing nicely together.  I thought I better take a picture while it lasted.

June 1, Day 125

We went back out to the beach after dinner tonight. For some reason, the kids liked the beach a lot better tonight than they did during the day... Ava was having a great time picking up the sand and getting her feet buried. We have also found out that her favorite thing is to rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower - she is all over that. When we left the beach tonight, we rinsed our feet off. Ava decided to rinse all of herself off - she was soaked!
