What a beautiful day we had! Ava and True got to take advantage of it with Papa. True couldn't quite reach the pedal, so my dad was bending over pushing the pedal so he could drive it. That kid has it made!

A little recap of what's been going on around here. True likes to snuggle in the covers whenever he can. As soon as he gets them arranged just so, in goes his thumb!

This is what I did after I sent the kindergarteners home for the day: made an Emperor Penguin and a Little Blue Penguin to compare sizes with tomorrow. I think it will be funny to see what the kiddos do when they realize there is a penguin bigger than they are! Ahh.. kindergarten.. so much better than figuring out the area of a triangle...

Sigh... do you ever have those weekends where they are so busy, you feel like you don't have any down time? It was one of those weekends. We went to St. Elmo's Friday night (thank you Devour Downtown), went to Ft. Wayne and back on Saturday, and I went to the grocery store (with two kids, oh my), spent two plus hours in my classroom, and took care of some household chores today. I am spent. Luckily, I had two cuties to hang out with while daddy is at house group. True got this boot out of Ava's room and wore it around the house. He likes it.

Ava is all about coloring right now, she has two of these color with a magic pen type books and she has almost finished them.

We played upstairs for a little bit with the trains. Ava went upstairs first and said something about trains. True heard it and started crying, "trains" till I took him up to play too. Then he tried to carry all these trains around. Look at those chubby little cheeks...

Another week... here's looking forward to next weekend for a little R&R :)

Two cuties in their jams... they had chocolate chip cookies tonight and we could tell!

This little fat man loves to get in Ava's bed. He ran back in here after getting his teeth brushed, climbed in bed, and pushed his way in between Ava and I as we were reading stories. (might be time for another haircut? shaggy boy)

Ahh.. so nice to have a three day weekend. We were pretty lazy today... I took the kids to story hour at the library (it was actually baby time for True, but Ava just hopped right in). We set up the train track in the playroom and had fights over tank engines. I cleaned two bathrooms, swept the floors, washed a sink load of dishes, and folded a load of laundry. Maybe I was more productive than I thought!

Sometimes True-True wakes up a little grumpy. And I love it. I mean, look at those cute little stuck out lips? Just love it.

He was grumpy because I would not share my cereal with him.

But it doesn't take much until he's smiley like this.

Also... this little man came to me when he was trying to poo - I think his tummy was hurting.. any ways we went and sat on the potty (well, he did) and he pooped on the potty! He has done this for my mom a few times, but this is the first time he did it on the pot for me! Maybe I will have a True True trained before he is four!

This is why I look forward to Thursdays... lunch with my sweets - all three! Since Thursday is BJ's day off, they usually come and have lunch with me. I love getting to see those babies in the middle of the day!

Our fireplace is finished! I kept forgetting to get a final picture taken of it. Now I just need to redecorate the mantel - I'm thinking of trying to find an old stained glass window - I still have my stipend burning a whole in my pocket...

Geez... tell this is not the cutest stinkin' kid in the world! He wore his hat (which I realize is getting to small, but I couldn't find his other one!) for quite a while in the house. This is very unusual, usually he rips it off as soon as you put it on.

For some reason, a laundry basket is an exciting toy for these two. Also, True's face is cracking me up. He is doing that in several of the pictures I took today. How random!

Why is it that the weekends fly by? Next weekend is a three-day weekend. Thank you Martin Luther King Jr.! Usually we have inservice, but not this year! I'll be hanging out with my babies.

We had a few visitors tonight... Jim couldn't keep his mind of his latest pinterest craft... oh wait, that's just Ava's necklace that broke and needed restrung. I'm amazed at how interest has turned so many people into crafty people. I'm waiting for it to do that to me... still waiting...

So... ever have those mornings when it is just chaos trying to get everyone ready for the day? Today was one of those. I wanted to run some errands this morning and tried to get the kiddos up and going was rough. Ava did not want to get dressed for anything. I think she sat in her room sans clothes for about 15 minutes because she didn't want to wear what I set out. When she finally came out of the room she looked like this: shirt on backwards and pants not buttoned. She is awesome!

Meanwhile, poor True had thrown up/spit up(?) during the night at some point - he has a cough and I'm thinking he hacked up some stuff... anyways... he had blueberries yesterday which meant there were blueberries ground into his sheets, pillowcase, and pillow. Which meant a bath for the baby (who cried the entire time) and laundry. Sigh.. what a morning! The good news: all errands were ran and kids each took about a 3 hour nap. Much needed for both.

Tomorrow it is back to the grind. Here we go!

Happy New Year! Here is a quick recap of our past week... We went to Jingle Rails at the Eiteljorg Museum... it is a train display, which True LOVED! Ava liked it too....

True would point at all the trains and say "cho0-choo." (Ignore my weird face, not sure what was going on with that...)

Ava got Hi-Ho Cheery O for Christmas. We played it tonight - the girl won all 4 games we played (without cheating!). It was the first time we have played a board game and played the correct way! She's growing up.

Only two days left of vacation.. sigh.. it went by way too fast..
