July 31, Day 185

I'm not sure why we try anymore... but here are four babies in size order...  Audrey, Ava, Cael, and Wesley.. We had a lot of fun and visited with a lot of Springfield friends.  At one point there were 26 people (including babies) in the Shelton's living room!

July 30, Day 184

We made it to Springfield and are having fun hanging out with our friends!  We went down to the church to see VBS and Steve put Cael's sandals on.  Look closely...

Tonight, Ava and I met up with Liz and her sweet baby Jack.  Jack must be teething because all he wanted to do was chew on his mommy's finger.  Poor Liz didn't even get to eat five bites of her ice cream cone (Cold Stone - yum!) because Jack was too upset.  He is so cute!

July 27, Day 181

Farewell Mega Chill cup...  We loved using this cup - but alas, no longer.  While I was giving Ava a bath tonight, she started to toot.  I laughed at her and said, "Are you tooting?"  She grinned and then deposited poo in the bathtub.  Oh my.  I panicked and started yelling, because this was blueberry poo and was quickly spreading.  BJ took Ava to the other tub for her bath and I was left with cleanup.  Ava had grabbed the Mega Chill cup that I had been using that night to water flowers, and wanted to play with it in the bathtub.  It has been tainted.  I even used it to get some of the larger pieces out of the tub.  You should be glad I took a picture of the cup and not the tub!  Don't worry, I cleaned all her toys and the tub with bleach...

July 26, Day 180

This is how I found Ava after her morning nap, all smiles and reading a book!  She has started to take her favorite book of the moment to bed with her... love it..

Tonight was the VBS carnival.  Ava got to go in the Toddler Town bounce house.  She sat in the balls the entire time, but she had a lot of fun!

We went to the zoo again today, but this time we took BJ.  I, unfortunately, didn't take any great pictures.  But we had fun looking at all the animals.  Here we were looking at the penguins and Ava was making this silly face at them.  Funny girl...

July 13, Day 167

Two pictures tonight.  Tonight at VBS, they told me they went overboard in the nursery changing diapers because they had someone complain that their baby was wet.  No big deal.  They changed her at 8:45, so I thought I would leave her in that diaper till morning.  When we got home, I was getting ready to put Ava in her jammies, when I noticed that she had a huggies on - I buy pampers.  Then I noticed something else - they had put her diaper on backwards!  I must to be too tired, because it just made me laugh, alot.  I don't even know how they got that on her like that... so funny.

This picture, I didn't take, but I had to include it anyway.  Last night at VBS, BJ got the most money in his bucket and got slimed.  Tonight, they put his name on a bucket again, and he got the most money again.  Jen asked if I wanted to be the one to pour the 'slime' on him.  So I snuck up on the booth.  They blindfolded the contestants and then at the last minute had them take off their blindfolds and look up.  BJ was so surprised.  It was great!  The others had cheetohs and honeycomb cereal poured on them.  Poor BJ had cooked beans.

July 12, Day 166

Tonight was the first night of VBS.  BJ was the lucky one to get slimed tonight!

July 11, Day 165

Aww.. doesn't Adi look so sweet and innocent?  Ha!  It's all a part of her evil plan.  Earlier in the evening Ava had to resort to her only defense mechanism:  shrieking at an unearthly decibel and then back to her coping mechanism of thumb in mouth, hand in hair.  Adi made up for all that torture with a hug and kiss.

July 10, Day 164

Ava and I played in her pool today.  She decided to water the flowers with her pool water.  While she was throwing water on the flowers, I saw something move!  It was a praying mantis.  The first one we have seen this year!

Thanks to Emily, I was able to find some new books at the library.  I'm on book #64 right now, only 36 to go!

Today Ava and I had a mini-roadtrip.  We drove to Covington and ate at the Beefhouse with some Springfield friends.  We had a good time catching up and eating!!

We got out Ava's new pool today - it is complete with a dolphin fountain and a slide.  Eden and Adi came over to help break it in.

Applesauce 101

Tonight we had Applesauce 101 at my mom's house.  Grades were given out according to skill.  I won't tell you what we received, but I will tell you that Pamela had to do some extra credit for leaving the 'butts' on the apples.  I had some issues with the peeler and my finger went numb.  I'm still recovering from that.  Brad, well... Brad was Brad, and he would have you believe he passed the class with flying colors.  However, he left a whole chunk of apple in the applesauce and claimed it was finished.

Today we hung up pictures our friend Crista took.  I've been wanting to hang something on this wall for a long time, and we finally got it done!

Ava got a postcard today from her Grandma and Grandpa.  Good thing too, she saw Adi's postcard last night and was feeling a little jealous.

I ended up going to Target over in Avon with Joyce today.  She wouldn't tell me exactly why she wanted to go until we got there.  She is in love with this whipped frosting that she can only find at Target - she makes me laugh.  There was no big cakes with the frosting that she likes, so the lady iced this one especially for her.  She makes me laugh!
