Happy Halloween! Here is my sweet True trying out part of Ava's costume...

Here is my sweet flower, Ava! We went to the church's trunk or treat. When I asked her what her favorite part of today was, she said, "When I got lots of candy."

October 26, Day 266

Ava decided that today was a good gardening day. She spotted her "shubel" and set to work digging. She also decided that she would sing a gardening song. This consisted of her dancing around like in the above picture singing, "I like to garden with my shubel, you can shubel with your shubel..."

We continued digging in the wind, Ava is holding on to True in the stroller so he wouldn't blow away!

Thanks to the rain today, Ava actually could dig up some of our previously rock hard ground...

I spent 20 minutes in the boys bathroom this morning with 26 fifth graders and 24 third graders waiting out the storm.. the lights went off for a few minutes causing some panic.. I hope I never have to go through that again!

Aahhh.. fall break, how I have enjoyed you!

Ava, Truett, and I enjoyed a lazy Friday. We went to the library, played, made a tent, and read books!

We also carved our pumpkin and found a seed sprouting inside! Bizarre!

We had donuts this morning for breakfast... Ava enjoyed eating the top off her sprinkled pink frosted donut.. then she was done with it!

October 20, Day 260

Someone got a new hat tonight! He has such a round little face, he looks so cute in it! Emily - we used our groupon for Gap that you told us about.. got Ava her winter coat!

I realize I didn't get a very good shot, but it was so cute that Ava had her arms around him and wanted to read to him... so sweet.. (it only lasted about 5 seconds...) Also, Amy, we ate a Chick-fil-a! :)

October 19, Day 259

I think I may have the cutest boy ever! I got to snuggle with him a bit tonight, always makes me feel better!

In other news, I'll be attempting to do an experiment on buoyancy for Mad Scientist Day tomorrow with pennies, straws, and aluminum foil.. oh my.. let's hope I'm able to somewhat explain what is going on! After I do this experiment with 4 classes of 5th graders, I'll be subjected to a Pumpkin Party for the last hour.... I think I'm earning this Fall Break!!

October 12, Day 252

I sure do love my Ava-bean. We went to the library after I picked her up tonight and we found where the library has bags with a book and book character in them. Ava was thrilled to find a Clifford bag, so we had to get it. Clifford has been her constant companion tonight.

Also, I had a fun conversation tonight with Ava. She was on the potty and I was in the living room feeding True. She was looking at a book and stayed quiet on the potty for about 10 minutes and then she started yelling for me.

Ava: "I did it!"

Me: "What did you do?"

Ava: "I poopied"

Me: "Yay! Good job!"

Silence for a while...

Ava: "I miss you."

October 11, Day 251

Ha.. this picture makes me laugh.. Ava found our little camera that we had out because we were taking videos of her and Truett. She wanted to take video too, as she says. BJ let her take some pictures and this is one that she took. Most of them involve her hand covering most of the picture.. this just made me laugh because it cut the tops of our heads off.. She is such a character! (Also, can you believe Truett's thighs?? They are enormous!)

October 10, Day 250

We tried to get a picture of all the great grandkids today.. I could only describe it as an epic FAIL! First, my brother forgot about it, so two are missing from the shot. We decided to try and get a picture anyways.. they were not having it! This is the only one where I have where everyone is somewhat facing the right direction! Adi's face just makes me laugh.. She has a look of such disdain...

October 9, Day 249

Ava hanging out with cousins!

Tonight was the 3rd Annual Breedlove/Bungard Chili Cookoff.. There were 26 different types of chili.. to bad I don't like chili! I enjoyed the dessert table. Mmm, scotcharoos, pumpkin roll, cupcakes, and lots more.. I feel a little sick! We had a beautiful night, the complete opposite of last year when it was freezing cold outside! Ava had a rough night. She fell twice, got flipped over in the power wheels, and then fell off the little retaining wall. I found out when we got home that she had a bruise and scratches on her back from the fall.. poor girl. I think she'll sleep well tonight!

October 8, Day 248

We played outside in the backyard a little bit tonight... Oh how I miss green grass! Ours is just crunchy and dead!

Truett can sit up by himself for about 3 seconds and then he falls over or folds in half.. it is pretty cute!

We were trying to get Ava to blow the dandelions, she looks like she was going to eat it! She ran around the backyard and batted at all the dandelions... BJ will have fun with that next spring!

My sweet little True-baby is growing up! He is reaching for things now and likes to sit in his exersaucer some. He also had 3 dirty diapers before I left for work this morning! What a stinker...

Monday mornings are the hardest morning for me.. it's always hard to leave my babies behind after a weekend and go back to work (especially harder since it is to teach 5th grade.. which I'm finding is not my favorite.. oh, kindergarten, how I miss you!) BJ left me a sweet surprise when I opened up the mailbox after work..

Also, happy birthday to my Dad!

October 3, Day 243

After a noisy evening (noise mostly provided by True as he cried the entire time I washed dishes and gave Ava a "showa"), we snuggled up in a "nest" and read stories.. I love hearing Ava read her stories.. she has some of them memorized it is so cute.. "If you give a pig a potty..."

October 2, Day 242

We had a busy day.. Big Day at the orchard, we were supposed to get our pictures taken, but the weather did not cooperate. It was a cold dreary morning. We had pizza tonight and played some sequence while the kids watched The Polar Express. Ava and Adi were bffs or maybe they are chickababies?
