May 31, Day 118

Ava had fun playing in her new pool today (the fishie pool died.. it had a hole and lasted for one swim session... it doesn't help that our neighbor has this same fishie pool and has put it up in their front yard.. now Ava thinks they have her fishie pool.. I tried to explain that our fishie pool popped.. oh well..) She had a lot of fun splashing and marching around in her pool..

With two kids, I feel like I need to give equal pic a day opportunities! Here is what True-baby did most of the day.. hung out in his bouncy seat.. what a sweet baby he is..

May 30, Day 117

Here is Ava in her super cute outfit she wore to church this morning... I have to say, after shopping for Truett yesterday, girls clothes are WAY more fun... poor Truett..

We were over at Brad and Pamela's for a cookout tonight and these two girls got behind the wheel.. This is a scary situation! These two are not licensed to drive... The Ad was pretty funny tonight - she got her driving face on when running laps...

May 27, Day 114

Truett got to meet our small group tonight! Here he is with Kristina and BJ. BJ was surprised that his eyes were already open.. oh, that made us laugh tonight!

May 26, Day 113

Right around the time we were finally getting Ava in bed tonight, a thunderstorm hit. Ava was VERY afraid of this thunderstorm. She needed some extra cuddle time to calm down and get back in bed..

May 25, Day 112

My sweet True-baby was wide awake all morning when he was getting his pictures taken! He slept the afternoon away.. I hope he sleeps tonight as good as he did last night!

May 24, Day 111

Today was the first time I ventured out on my own with two kids. We went to Pamela's to let Ava swim. She had so much fun and was so excited to swim with Eden and Adi. She wanted to get her pool out when we got home and put her toys in it. I think we will be getting her pool out this week!

Truett slept through the entire experience. Brad and Pamela quit feeding their kitties because they were overrun. I think this last surviving kitty is eyeing my sweet True-baby as a possible dinner snack.

May 22, Day 109

When we went in Tuesday morning, I was already having some contractions. We still thought it would be an all day deal.. but at 9:00 I got my epidural, 11:00 they broke my water, 12:00 the nurse checked and said I was complete and had to call the doctor, 12:30 my doctor arrived, 12:46 Truett Adler arrived!

Ava liked holding her little brother.. then she was over it. She kept telling us to "Put him in there" (his crib) so that we could play with her instead!

Finally, we get to go home! He looks pretty little in his carseat!

Taking a snooze.. if only he would do that at night!

Already a thumb sucker like his sister???

So I went back and added a picture from each day through Saturday.. this might be how it is done for a while, we will see how easy it is to have two kids by myself when BJ is at work next week! BJ took Ava to church with him this morning, while Truett and I stayed home. He did not really let us sleep a whole lot last night, he wanted to eat or be held.. that makes for a long night!

May 17, Day 104

Amy, you should know how much I really love you now... I'm starting to get really nervous about tomorrow.. our family of three will be come a family of four! I will also be on hiatus - I am sure BJ will post pictures and send out the details when baby arrives.. so, here goes nothing!

May 16, Day 103

Here is my bag for the hospital.. it is not really packed.. mostly because I am almost positive I won't need it until Tuesday morning! This baby is so stubborn, it must be a boy!

May 15, Day 102

Yesterday was my last day at school for the year. My class gave me these two baskets full of diapers and scrapbooking things. I thought it was very sweet! So ready for this baby to be here!

Here is Ava enjoying some Cold Stone with Uncle Jim. Adi, Ava, and Jim are taking turns with Jim's ice cream. Ava doesn't like to share her ice cream.

Today I heard about another girl from church, who had the same due date as me, had her baby.. I am very jealous.. In an effort to speed things along, Sarah, Mom, Ava, and I went walking in my neighborhood. No such luck for me.. I'll probably be waiting around till next Tuesday!

Can you find Ava? She took her big I Spy book to bed with her and fell asleep with it on top of her.. I wish I would have gotten closer and taken the picture but I was afraid I would wake her up. So sweet...

May 9, Day 96

Happy Mother's Day! (This is not the most flattering picture of me - and I obviously did not take the picture.. oh well!) We had a cook-out at our house for my mom, it turned out to be a pretty nice day so we were able to eat outside, yay! I am thankful for my mom, she is the best!

This girl LOVES this book, The Bear's Vacation. She has it memorized! I told her I didn't want to read it again and she said, "I read it to you." She has heard this book a few to many times!

Ava loves having company - especially her grandma and papa.. She enjoys sharing her slide with them and wanted each to have a turn... Grandma took her up on the offer, papa declined..

My brother gave us this toy that his kids no longer play with - Ava got to play with it today for the first time! She really liked the slide. In this picture she told me she was "watching birds" - that must be the grandma influence..

This picture is breaking the rules, but I am in charge of my own blog, aren't I? BJ took this picture of us yesterday... I'm feeling a little bit sad that Max is gone - although there are definite perks - no worrying if I leave a diaper on the floor for a few minutes, no worries about Ava's snack getting stolen out of her hands, no letting the dog out to potty, no dog pee on the carpet, my dirty laundry stays in the laundry basket instead of going under the bed, etc... but I will admit that I did miss him a little bit today.. I know we made the right choice, I just hope he is adjusting well!

Today was Angela's shower day! We had a fun night of Olive Garden, presents, and Rock Band (I was merely an observer of Rock Band - I have absolutely no musical talent) We laughed a lot tonight - good times!
