Tonight we went out with Brad and Pamela and NO kids!  We ate at Texas Roadhouse - it was tasty...

I almost forgot to take a picture of dinner tonight... So here is my half-eaten ham and cheese sandwich from Jimmy John's. BJ was in Cincinnati and didn't get home until late, so we ate out.. Yum!

October 28, Day 274

BJ was in charge of dinner tonight.  We had french toast - Ava and I are big fans of breakfast food for dinner.

October 27, Day 273

Tonight we had meatball subs.. they were pretty tasty.. In front of sandwich is some string cheese that Ava so graciously shared with me (she had meatballs and string cheese)... what a nice girl she is!

October 26, Day 272

So our theme is "What's For Dinner?"  Tonight for dinner we had steak (which doesn't happen very often), baked potatoes, and blueberry muffins.  We probably won't eat this good for a long time...  This is my second time to make blueberry muffins and I think they turned out pretty good.  They were the only thing Ava would eat!  That girl is so finicky.. I wonder where she gets it...

October 25, Day 271

It is a sad day.. Fall break ends and work starts again.. I have enjoyed the last four days of not doing a whole lot of anything!  I'll be sad to leave Ava tomorrow.. Here she is playing one of her new favorite games... She waits until you get up and then runs to get in your seat yelling, "I sit, I sit."  How cute is she...

October 24, Day 270

Mmm... Hong Kong.. We just had this a couple of days ago, but it sounded good.  I really like their rice.. The chicken I tasted and decided I didn't like so much... but Ava and I both really like the rice..

October 23, Day 269

Another mountain scaled... Ava successfully climbed onto our bed today.  She was quite proud of herself.  Since we are on Fall Break, I enjoyed just hanging around the house today playing with Ava.

October 22, Day 268

Tonight our small group volunteered at The Church in Mission.  We always seem to have a good time and are always amazed at what people donate.  Tonight's finds included silicone breast enhancements with stickers to hold them in place... nice..  Here is Kristina with a beautiful red purse for a night going out...

I'm to lazy to get up and find something to take a picture of... so Max was sitting at the end of the couch where I am laying here watching Glee.  

October 20, Day 266

Tomorrow we are having "Bat Fruit Salad" because we are learning how some bats eat fruit in class (they don't suck our blood like Jesse thought).  So BJ helped me cut up the fruit tonight, Ava was standing on a chair watching. Everytime BJ would put more watermelon in the bag, she would pull out a piece!  She was completely dripping in watermelon juice... Love that girl!

October 19, Day 265

We read stories every night before we go to bed.  Ava has started to pull out another book after I have already told her, "last story."  She shoves that book in my hand and plunks her little self down in my lap.. hard to say no!

p.s. I think another theme should be in the works... my picture taking has been quite boring lately...  all I can think about is report cards, report cards, report cards!

October 18, Day 264

Aside from the fact that I need to take lessons on how to take good pictures, I am very excited that this weekend is our fall break - 4 day weekend!  Yay!  I'm hoping to spend it being lazy with my Ava-girl...

October 17, Day 263

This picture turned out a bit darker than I realized.  We had the second annual Chili Cook-off tonight.  There were 17 different kinds of chili, I had a hotdog.  I don't like chili - something with the consistency and the beans.. ugh.. We had it inside Brad and Pamela's garage since it was so cold outside.  Fun night!

I requested a lot of books through the library and they have all started coming in...  I'm in book overload.. I only need 6 books till I meet my goal!

October 13, Day 259

Tonight we got to meet up with Daniel, Emily, and Audrey.  It was fun to see how big Audrey has gotten since the last time we saw her!  These two girls would not look at the camera.  They were way to engrossed in the rocks.  Audrey would pick up a rock and Ava would take it, throw it, and repeat.  Fun!

October 11, Day 257

Ava had a stinky diaper tonight, here she is holding her nose!  P-U!  She was a stinker...

October 10, Day 256

My poor sweet Ava girl... We had to go to the Prompt Med Center today because Ava dislocated her elbow!  BJ was holding her hand and she tripped while we were at a friend's house (30 minutes away from home) and her elbow somehow got dislocated.  She cried the entire way home - we weren't sure what to think.  When we got home and she still wouldn't move her arm, we decided to take her to the doctor.  Poor girl cried every time she tried to move her arm - her left arm:  aka thumb sucking hand, so no comforting herself.  After about two hours in the waiting room (and listening to one man vomit multiple times) we saw the doctor for about 3 minutes, who was able to pop her little elbow back into place.  She gave the doctor a look that could kill and cried, but a minute later she was using her arm just like normal.  I am exhausted!  I hated seeing my baby in pain!

October 9, Day 255

BJ brought home roses for me... Ava was very into smelling them.. 

October 8, Day 254

Ava woke up before 6 o'clock this morning.  She was up and at 'em.  She did somersaults, played with the baby, read books... she is hard to contain!

October 7, Day 253

Tonight Ava and I decided to spend some time outside since torrential rains are supposedly coming tomorrow.  We took the baby stroller outside and Ava pushed it around for a while.  Then she decided to just carry the baby and the washcloth (which is its blanket) around.  While we were walking, we found a house near us has Gus and Gertie dogs - a black one and a tan one.  I tried to get a picture of them, but they were back inside before I got the camera out.

October 6, Day 252

The scene of the crime.  I was on the phone and hear Ava coming back in the room... dragging the toliet paper all the way from the bathroom!  She had assembled quite a bit in her hands and then pulled it all the way into the living room!  Oh, that girl!

October 5, Day 251

Ava came up with a new game tonight.  She likes to sit on the edge of the couch and then fall very dramatically onto the pillows.  She is getting so much personality!

Today was the Big Day at the Orchard.  There were lots of things going on, one was pony rides!  Ava actually got to ride the pony twice, she is so spoiled.  She really liked it even though she doesn't really look like it in this picture!

October 2, Day 248

When Ava and I were on the way home after school, we stopped by a yard sale in our neighbor hood.  It had a lot of toys, but Ava and I picked out this Noah's Ark Little People toy for $3!  She liked putting all the animals in the ark and then flinging all the animals every which way.

October 1, Day 247

BJ brought home this little quilt from VBS back in 2004 or something, too bad we have stacks of quilts and blankets laying around here!  So I told him to take it back (he got it from the old children's minister when she was cleaning out her office).  He said he put it in her van, but then it was hanging outside on our trellis in front of the house... it is so making its way back to her house...  Nicole - I'm thinking about dropping it off sometime while you're babysitting and hiding it in her house!!
