I went to the library tonight to get some fun Christmas stories - I love reading Christmas stories at school... I'm hoping Ava will sit long enough to listen to these, too!

November 29, Day 306

So our furnace has decided not to work.. It is staying at 67 degrees right now, I'm hoping it doesn't get to cold tonight! Hopefully it will be all fixed tomorrow!

Ava got a cute little tree for her room. She loved putting lights on it and trying to put the little pink ornaments I got her on it, but she needed hooks! Maybe the ornaments will go on later...

What better way to start off a four day weekend, then by watching New Moon!  I'm thankful for a night out watching a movie I really wanted to see.  I did enjoy it.. maybe I'll read the books again...

I am thankful that Ava got a subscription to Babybug for her birthday!  Now I won't have to read the same Babybug magazine over and over and over (I have it memorized)...

Today I am thankful for hand-me-downs.  While I was doing laundry, I thought about how nice it was that so many of the clothes Ava is wearing right now are Adi cast-offs!

November 20, Day 297

Today I am thankful for great deals at Target!  I was going to buy this dress for $7 for Ava when we did our family Christmas shopping and I decided not to.  When we went back to Target tonight it was $3.24!  So, Ava got a new dress tonight!

Tonight I am thankful for dinner with old friends.  I forgot to take my camera with me, but our conversation brought up the classic pickle tree that we had at our Ward's Apparel dinners... oh the fun we used to have!

Tonight I am thankful for my church - it was our Thanksgiving dinner.  We had a good time sitting with our small group.

Today I am thankful for the chai my husband made for me... it is nice to have a hubby who used to work at Starbucks and knows how to make me all the drinks!

Today I am thankful for my job!  What other job can you have where you are dyeing t-shirts for a Thanksgiving feast?  Sometimes, I do wish I was at home with Ava all day, but I think I get the best of both.  I love having summers and breaks with Ava and I think I need to get out of the house or I would go crazy!

Today I am thankful for going to Purdue for a football game!  It was fun to be back on campus and to have Mad Mushroom.  Yum!  Also, you should ask my dad about the parking garage.. so funny..

Today I am thankful for my trusty VCR.  Yes, I know the rest of the world has moved onto Tivo, but my VCR does the job and does it for free!  Tonight, I'll be catching up on some Grey's Anatomy, all thanks to my VCR.

Today  I am thankful for starting my Christmas shopping!  Every year, we all go together and have a lot of fun!

Today I am thankful for the kick boxing class that was held at my school.  I really miss going to the Fit Club, it was nice to exercise again!

Tonight I am posting something Ava is thankful for... ELMO!  BJ's parents came and visited us this weekend and brought Elmo for Ava.  She has been obsessed with him lately - she has seen Elmo's World at my mom's house and then found Elmo in a toy catalog we got (she looks at it all the time).  So she was very excited to get him yesterday.  She cried this morning when I would not let her take Elmo into church - he had to stay in the car.  She shared her milk with him, covered him with her blankets, and made him do The Itsy Bitsy Spider with us.  He has been her constant companion.. what fun..

Today I am thankful for a little girl who went to bed very late last night but still woke up happy and cheerful (of course it was 10:00 before she decided to get up...).  I have the best baby..

November 6, Day 283

I am thankful for family!  We have a lot of fun hanging out with my brother and sister-in-law.  I love that our kids get to be together and play - they had so much fun tonight going through a tunnel made by our legs and blankets on the ottoman.  Small things make them so happy... (Also, I love that Brad put buttons over his eyes and told Eden he was the other daddy.. LOL.. sorry Pamela, I am still laughing about it.)

I'm going to take Renee' up on her idea and post things that I am thankful for... One thing I was thankful for tonight was blueberries for blueberry pancakes.  Yum!

Ava got to go to the library today for story hour with my mom and Adi.  She picked off all the animals (which is why they are all torn in half) and stuck them to her back (because at church, she has to wear a sticker on her back, now all stickers get stuck to her back).  She knows all the sounds the animals make - she is so smart!

November 3, Day 280

Hugging my baby a little tighter tonight.  Tonight was the viewing for my friend from high schools younger sister.  She was only 27 and left behind a 9 month old baby and her husband.  I haven't talked to my friend since we graduated high school, but it breaks my heart.  I'm praying for their family tonight.

I am trying to do a better job reading my Bible, so I am reading one chapter a day out of Proverbs.. I am two for two so far!

This cute little wooly worm was in our garage tonight.  I showed it to Ava, she was not so sure about it... especially when it took off across the floor.. When I told her it was time to go inside, she was to afraid to walk around it to get to the door!  What a funny girl..
