September 30, Day 246

I'm not sure why my camera didn't automatically flip this, but oh well.  Fall always makes me want to read Harry Potter again and since I finished my last library book last night, I started to reread them.  I did go to the library today and got some new books, but I'm sure I'll manage to read the whole series again this fall.

September 29, Day 245

Underneath this carpet cleaner is the remains of my half-price cherry limeade from Sonic.  BJ got off work an hour early and brought me home a delicious beverage from Sonic, but somehow, before I even put the straw in the cup and took a sip, it fell off the coffee table and dumped all over the carpet.  I'm placing all blame on the infamous Max because I was leaning over to swat him off my school stuff.. oh that dog.. he is the bane of my existence.. 

September 28, Day 244

I'm feeling pretty proud of myself...  If you know me, you know I don't cook.  But tonight I cooked dinner - Cheesy Mostaccioli.  It is one of Ava's favorites for Sunday dinner at my mom's house.  Ava had about 4 helpings and BJ had seconds - I'm considering it a success.

September 27, Day 243

Yum!  My mom made eclairs and I got to bring some home with me... I'm wondering if BJ will get any of them... my guess?  Probably not!

September 26, Day 242

We went and watched Eden play soccer today (he's number 3 in the white).  It is pretty entertaining to watch 4 and 5 year olds play soccer.  They get very excited when they score a goal - even if it is for the other team!

September 25, Day 241

My sweet Ava girl wanted to go night night in our bed... She got all tucked in and said, "nigh, nigh."  To bad she didn't get to stay!

September 24, Day 240

Today we went on our kindergarten field trip to Apple Works.  Oh my, what a day for a field trip with 23 kindergarten kids!  It rained and rained and rained.. We got soaked!  I think the kids had fun, I was ready for a hot shower and a nap!

Here is my sweet girl with one "boo" on.  Adi gave Ava some shoes (well, not Adi, she would never give Ava anything willingly since they are arch enemies, but Pamela did).  Ava is obsessed with the "boo."  Today she wanted to put one on and she played for quite some time with just one boot.. what a silly girl!

September 19, Day 235

BJ and I had a date night tonight.  We saw the Time Traveler's Wife, which is one of my favorite books.  I enjoyed the movie - cried.. now I am going to reread the book... It's been a while!

September 18, Day 234

Ava and I went over to Brad and Pamela's house, where Brad and Eden were going to camp out in a tent.  All the kids were having fun playing in the tent.  Eden said, "This is the best sleepover ever!"  I'm guessing they are inside in their beds by midnight!

September 17, Day 233

Z is for Zero ideas for Z!  So instead, here is what sweet baby Ava decided to do this afternoon.  She wanted to hang out in Max's stinky box!  Sometimes I think about locking her up.. especially after I found my glasses that she got off my night stand and mangled... They will never fit the same!

X is for X on the clock.. I drew a blank for the letter x.  I was sure there would be some ingredient in my ice cream that started with x.. but no..

W is for Wishy Washy...  I just got this book for Ava.  She has several of the Mrs. Wishy Washy books, they're pretty cute.

September 13, Day 229

V is for Vault!  As in Ava vaulted herself out of her crib today for the first time!  I put her down for her afternoon nap a bit later than usual, and she cried a little bit.  All the sudden I heard a thump and a big cry!  When I got to her room, she was at her door... I lowered her bed - it had one more rung to go.  I'm hoping she can't quite get herself over or she's to scared from the last time to try it again...  When we were getting ready for bed, I put her in to get this picture, and then sternly told her, "No!"

September 12, Day 228

U is for Up!  Lately, every time we put elastic type jammies or pants on Ava, she yanks them up as high as she can.  I tried to catch her pulling them up, but was a bit to slow.

September 11, Day 227

T is for Tricycle.  Ava's grandma let Ava bring home this tricycle - she is very excited about her "bi" as she calls it.

September 10, Day 226

S is for Sequence!  Our Small group Service project was canceled because of my Slacker brother not getting it Set up in time.  So our Small group played Sequence instead!  Liz and I won four times!!!  We were the champions...  (that's a lot of S's!)

September 9, Day 225

R is for Rhinoceros!  Our neighbors seem to have traded their house with their daughter and family - not really sure what is going on.  But when the daughter and family moved in, they brought this stone rhinoceros - who has a stone rhinoceros?

September 8, Day 224

Q is for Quality time with family!  We walked the church trail tonight with Brad, Pamela, Eden, Adi, and Max.  Then we played my favorite game, Sequence.  Ava had fun showing her awesome light-up, music making wand to Adi.

September 7, Day 223

P is for the Perfect end of a three day weekend!  Half-price strawberry slush and the second book of the Hunger Games.  I was going to try and wait to get the book at the library, but they still don't have a copy.  I finished rereading the first one today and needed to find out what happened next!

September 6, Day 222

O is for Ouchies.  Ava woke up on Friday from her nap and had two big red bites on her arm and hand.  I took her to the doctor, they said they were just mosquito bites.  They got really swollen and blistered, poor girl.  While we were at the doctor, he wanted to give her a flu shot.  Poor Ava!  Bites and a flu shot!  We put some Benadryl on her bites.  (I had a very hard time coming up with something for O - can you tell?)

September 5, Day 221

N is for Noodles!  We ate at Olive Garden and took advantage of their never ending pasta bowl and a giftcard!  Yum!

September 4, Day 220

M is for Mojo's...  We went to ribfest in downtown Indy tonight with some friends.  I had a pulled pork sandwich from Mojo's.  It was an interesting experience, there was a Beatles cover band playing, lots of white trash drinking, and free Mello Yello.  The cover band was pretty good, Ava even danced for awhile.. pretty cute.. 

September 3, Day 219

L is for Laurel!  She was recruited to watch kids while we have small group.  It is nice that no one has to miss now - and the kids adored her... Also as a side note, Adi lived up to her name, Adi-no-pants, tonight...

September 2, Day 218

K is for Kroger.  I always check out the grocery ads to try and get the best deals.. I'm for sure not as good as Emily at finding the deals, but I always love seeing how much I save...

September 1, Day 217

J is for Jacket!  I am loving this cooler weather that requires jackets!  Ava is fascinated with the zipper on her jacket.  She fell asleep in the car on the way home and I put her to bed with her jacket on.  When I got her up from her nap, her jacket was unzipped and off!  In this picture, she was trying to zip it back up.  What a sweet baby - love that baby belly that's showing!
