August 31, Day 216

I is for Irritated!  I had finally got my students pictures all put together on posterboard so they can doing a matching activity and today I found out I am getting a new student tomorrow!  Grr!  What is really irritating is that this student was on my class list at the beginning of the year and the parents said they were moving.  So now, two and a half weeks later, they changed their minds.  Their son is repeating kindergarten, it might be nice if he had started on time!

August 30, Day 215

H is for Happy!  Ava took a late nap today - about 3:45 to 6:45 and woke up happy!

August 29, Day 214

G is for Grow!! We planted two little pine trees today in hopes that one day they will grow and give us more privacy in our backyard.

F is for Friday and also failure.  Failure to take the camera with me tonight to our youth sponser dinner, where I could have taken pictures of friends and food!  Oh well.. 

August 27, Day 212

E is for excited!  I saw this little car for sale when I was driving home from work.  I had BJ go and buy it for Ava - she was eating when he brought it in.  As soon as she saw it, she wanted to get down and start cruising.  She was so excited!

August 26, Day 211

D is for... Dogs!  Yes, that's right.  There are two dogs here, not just one.  Brad, Eden, and Adi stopped by tonight and Eden turned into 'Hannah doggie.'  (Named after his friend from preschool)  Needless to say, Max was excited to have someone to play with.

August 25, Day 210

Well, it loaded them backwards.. but anyways.. 2 pictures tonight.. C is for cup - which Ava is all about drinking out of right now.  She wants you to take the lid off so she can drink like a big girl.  And when you let Ava drink out of a big girl cup, you get C for clean-up.  Ava does like to help clean-up, I hope she keeps that trait as she grows up!

B is for Book!  This is my 77th book so far this year.  I am getting closer and closer to my goal!

August 23, Day 208

So we have decided to do another theme.  This theme is to do the letters of the alphabet - one letter a day.  Today is A for Ava.  We had another birthday party to go to and Ava had fun attempting to ride the bike!

August 22, Day 207

Once again my computer is being stupid, so I'm using BJ's... Anyways, tonight we went to a birthday party for my nephew. They had the party at my mom and dads, who just got a new freezer. They turned the freezer box into a little house for the kids to play with. Ava wasn't sure about it the first time she saw it, but tonight she liked it!

August 21, Day 206

I was starting to wonder what was wrong with my computer because it was doing the same thing it did last night.  10 minutes later, it finally loaded.. good grief!  Anyways, I ordered this easel at the beginning of July for my classroom.  I found out Tuesday that they did not have it and would not be able to send it to me (after they had charged my credit card for it and I got the statement, grr).  So I found another website that sold the same one and ordered it Tuesday and it came today!  That was some fast shipping!  I am so excited to take it to school!

August 20, Day 205

I have tried to upload a picture four different times.  It just keeps loading and nothing happens!  It is very aggravating.  My picture isn't very exciting, I've had a long day, and this just is the way to finish it off!  Maybe you'll see the picture tomorrow...

August 19, Day 204

I got out Ava's crayons tonight.  She colored for about 20 seconds.  Then she wanted to put all the crayons back in the box and dump them out, and repeat 10x.  Then she just wanted to throw the crayons all over the floor.  How exciting.

I got my big fat check from Ebates today - my first one ever.  Pretty exciting!

I had stuffed mushrooms for dinner at about 8:30 - Back to School Night was tonight.  I'm ready for bed!

Ava and I enjoyed a lazy Sunday.  She took two naps and I took one!

August 15, Day 200

This picture is for my IL friends.. I didn't take a picture at 5:49 because this was more interesting than what I was doing at that time (driving).  No trip to the IL state fair was complete without a visit to the butter cow.  Today we went to IN state fair (yum, fair food!) and found a sand cow!  Not quite as good as a butter cow, but still pretty fun.  We had a good time at the fair - it was bug day, put on by Purdue (Go Boilers!) and Ava got to touch a hissing cockroach.. yuck!

At 5:49 this evening I had just sat down to watch two minutes of Scrubs before I was drug off by my sweet baby Ava.

At 5:49 today we were just finishing up some delicious dinner from Grays.  I love this little girl!!

August 12, Day 197

At 5:49 today I was yet again at Walmart.  I hope I don't have to go there again for some time.  School starts tomorrow, say a prayer for me!  I know I'll need it!

August 11, Day 196

School starts in one day - I am starting to get very nervous!  I completely forgot that we were doing our time picture until about 6:59 - so at 5:49 I was most likely laminating this counting book that my kindergarteners will be using this year!

August 10, Day 195

We decided on another theme week because we were having a hard time coming up with pictures.  The theme is to take a picture at the same time each day of whatever is going on at that moment.  I chose to do the time 5:49 p.m. and here is what I was doing:  pulling lasagna out of the oven.  Hmm... wonder what I will be doing at this time tomorrow...

August 9, Day 194

Ava got two new little pets today.  She was carrying around a little bunny at my parents house, so when we went to the Orchard Country Store, I got Ava these two little plastic bunnies.  She really liked them and made them hop around.  She is too cute.  I much prefer these two bunnies to the dog we also have...

August 8, Day 193

This dog is in time-out.  Today, not only did he pee in the house (after being let out twice within the half hour), he stole Ava's string cheese from her, and ran away from me outside - to the neighbor's dogs and then growled at me when I caught him.  That dog is living on borrowed time.

August 7, Day 192

We went to my brother's tonight for ribs (which were tasty).  Adi and Ava were walking together on the driveway (they have a very long driveway), and Adi's parents were commenting how Adi liked to test the limits, but that she knew she shouldn't go beyond the pine tree.  Adi tested the limits - that little white dot is her making a break for it.  Brad had to run after her - she came so close to freedom.

August 6, Day 191

Ava got to go swimming today and BJ blew up her float for her.  She was so excited, as you can see.  She had a good time - although she didn't want to be in this float in the pool at all.  She wanted me to hold her the whole time!  I'm sad - today was my last day of summer - I have an all day meeting tomorrow... sad day...

August 5, Day 190

It was a busy day, ending with the church pool party.  I forgot my camera, so I had to use BJ's phone to take a picture.  Here are Ava and Teagan hanging out in the baby pool!  It was not a very warm evening and Ava had purple hands and feet and was shivering while she was in the water.  She had a great time though!

August 4, Day 189

Today Ava and I got together with two of my friends from high school and their babies.  We had fun catching up and seeing our kids interact.  All right - we watched Sam and Ava interact.  Teagan slept for most of the visit!

August 3, Day 188

We went back to the butterfly garden and zoo today.  Ava liked looking at the butterflies from afar.  She did not like it when they fluttered by her.  She crouched down and put her hands over her head and screeched.  It was pretty cute.

August 2, Day 187

I'm so glad Renee' and Teagan have come to visit!  Ava and I got to hang out with them tonight and had a good time catching up.  I love how some friends you may not see or talk to everyday but you can pick up right where you left off.

August 1, Day 186

We got to go to Washington Park this morning with Audrey and Cael (and their parents).  This park has an awesome playground, Ava loved it.  Here are Ava and Cael going down the big slide, my last picture before my camera died.  We had a great time visiting our Springfield friends!!
