Max is always on the prowl when Ava is in her highchair. With good reason too. Lately all she does is toss food overboard!

This picture is for my mom. She gave me clothes she had made for me when I was a baby. This is a dress I wore. It's really to small - if I buttoned the top button, I would choke her! But we had fun playing dress-up.

I got Ava a new pair of the most adorable shoes. They are too big for her right now (she has two other pair in a smaller size that are still too big - supposedly sized 6-12 month), but she'll eventually grow into them. I bought the first pair back in Nov. thinking she would grow into them by now. I think I have the slowest growing baby ever... The best part is though, I got to use a coupon getting $10 off!!

A big thunderstorm is going through tonight. Max is very afraid of thunderstorms and follows me throughout the house and then sits and shakes. Ava decided this was a good chance to get in some petting. He was to afraid to move!

Today at school I filled in for one of the kindergarten teachers. There are only 10 kids in her afternoon class. One of the kids had her shoes on backwards. How cute. She had her kids write me thank-you cards. I love how this one kept crossing out letters trying to write my name.

We enjoyed this beautiful day by going to the park. After we walked the trail, Ava got to play on the playground. It was sooooo crowded. The legs in the picture belong to two little girls that go to the school where I work. They were very intrigued by Ava and my camera!

Ava had her 15 month check-up today. She was very brave for her shot, and didn't even cry! She is weighing in at a hefty 16 lbs 12.5 oz... 28 3/4 inches long.. Every time she goes to the doctor, she gets a free (well, not really) book. This is the book she got today!

For some reason today, Ava really wanted to pet Max... and for some reason, Max really didn't want to be pet by Ava... She chased him under her bed... She kept looking under the bed at him and pointing... wondering why he didn't want to come out

This morning when we woke up, our house was freezing! Our neighbor left a note on our mailbox that he heard our gas meter making funny noises at 5:15 this morning. The Vectren man came out and fixed our meter, thank goodness it wasn't the furnace!

When I tell Ava it is bath time now, she gets her bag of toys to throw in the tub. She takes one out at a time and launches it in. She's very into manuel labor, she'll put clothes in the laundry basket, throw her dirty diapers away (thanks, dad), put her bath toys in the tub, hold Max's leash, etc. I am hoping to work this to my advantage in the future!
