My mom and I spread mulch today (with a little help from my dad and Todd). They look a lot better!

Now if I could only figure out how to trim the bushes in the front of the house, our house would be looking pretty good.

Last week BJ dug up some dead bushes on the side of our house. On Saturday, at Lowe's, I found all these plants for $9.50! That is about the cost of one of them regular priced! Woohoo!

We put down new weed barrier, just waiting on the mulch!

Happy 4th! It is 9:15, I've already got both kids in bed and I am about to head there myself... No fireworks for us this year...

True and I had play time after he woke up from his nap... He was pretty excited to play with his toothbrush and a cup. Ava is definitely the sleeper of the two. She was asleep for 4 hours today! Unfortunately all that sleep did not stop her from throwing some fits at our game night (make that, outdoor game night, ha, Sarah!).

We had another busy day... We both worked out, I got a great deal on flowers at Lowe's, went to a cookout/pool party, and napped late into the evening... And I was stuck trying to find something to take a picture of at 8:45... I caught Ava in a "nest" reading stories. I love hearing her read stories to herself...

Pamela gave us some Adi castoffs at small group last night... Ava was SUPER excited when I showed her these princess jammies... I am not a fan of cartoon clothing, but I don't mind jammies since she just wears them to bed. Getting ready for bed was a little bit easier tonight!

This was actually a picture I took yesterday morning, I forgot I took it. I love how True sticks his behind up in the air.
